HENNA POWDER

Henna powder is very commonly used for painting and for body art. The powder is available in many different colors. When it is mixed with water though a paint in created that isn't going to be harmful to the body at all. In fact, henna contains a large amount of protein which can be absorbed into the skin, hair, and fingernails. There won't be any stains on the skin from the henna either so many people love to work with it. They find it to be very fun.

In order to get the best results from the henna powder make sure you buy good quality. You can get cheaper types of it out there but it will show in the overall results that you get from it. Since the idea of henna is to proudly display the art and the designs on your body you need to make sure you will be happy with how it looks.

It is a good idea to take the time to sift the henna powder before you add water to it. Try to do this process right before you plan to use it so that it doesn't have the chance to clump up again on you. You can use a regular kitchen sifter with very small holes in it if you want to. Some people even prefer to use a pair of ladies stockings for the sifting process.

Since the most practical way to apply the henna powder mixed with the water is through a syringe, you want to make sure you get rid of any left over clumps. This will cause your syringe to clog and then you will get either not enough of the ink or too much of it coming out at one time.

Henna powder that you aren't going to use right away should be stored in a dark container. You don't want it to be exposed to either light or to moisture. If so it will make the properties of it less effective. Henna powder that is stored properly in the dry form can be kept until you are ready to use it. However, you should always dispose of any left over henna powder after it has been mixed with water.
